My Values

My service to you and your family is built upon three core values: Please also read my Equality & Justice Statement.

Autonomy: I'm here to support you towards a healthier life that's based on your goals and dreams, not mine. You can expect your time with me to be judgement-free.

Justice: You'll always get fair and honest treatment. No matter what you pay, what kind of person you are, or anything about you --  you'll always get the best I've got. I'll come to our appointments prepared and I'll take care of myself - so I can be here for you.

Transparency: I have an open-dialogue policy. You can ask any question at any time, and deserve an honest, straight-forward answer when it come to us and your care. This applies to therapy, billing, etc.

I adhere to both the American Counseling Association's Code of Ethics and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification's Code of Professional Ethics.

Why are you telling me this?

I think it's really important. I stand for things. How I treat people is important to me. I want people to know things they can expect form me. I want to be held accountable. The best way to do that is to make it available for everyone to see.

What other things matter to you?

So many things. Ask me! I'm open about thing like this.

What are ethical codes?

Ethical codes are rules, generally for a specific profession, about how you should conduct yourself. Sometimes they are required by law or membership, but they can also be elective. Like doctors and lawyers, counselors have them too. You can find the full text of the codes of ethics I abide by in the links above.
